The islands of Kerkennah are a Tunisian archipelago of the Mediterranean located at 20 kilometers of Sfax open sea. It is decomposed from six islands with two of them are populated:  Gharbi as called Mellita - and Chergui or Large Kerkennah. The perimeter of the archipelago exceeds 160 kilometers. They are connected between them by a roadway a 600 meters length existing since the Roman time.  The single tarred road, which crosses the archipelago between Sidi Youssef at the West end and El Attaya at the EasT, measure 35 kilometers.

Administratively, the archipelago of Kerkennah constitutes a delegation attached to the gouvernorat of Sfax accessible to less than one hour from the town of Sfax by the vat. The hotel Seabel Grand is localized in Sidi Fredj.
